Weekend in Winnipeg

We spent the first weekend in Winnipeg. After spending the morning shopping on Oxford Street we headed to Portage Place where we got an exciting V.I.P tour of the MTS Center. Although closed for cleaning, Grandma sweet talked a nice security man into letting us into a private box seat. Isn't this view fabulous?! It seats 16,000 people and is home to the Manitoba Moose. In the lobby of the MTS center is a statue of Sir Timothy Eaton of whom Patrick described as "the symbol of Winnipeg." It was a fascinating tour.
